Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is characterized by fibrofatty replacement in the myocardium progressing from epicardium towards endocardium and affecting primarily ventricle (RV). Little data available on distribution RV electrical abnormalities at era epicardial high-resolution mapping. Purpose To evaluate extent endocardial low voltage areas their relationship with ECG ARVC patients. Methods Patients a definite diagnosis according to 2020 Task Force Criteria, who underwent tachycardia ablation between 2016 2022 high-density 3-dimensional electroanatomic mapping, were included. A custom segmentation dividing into 10 segments maps was used: anterior lateral outflow tract (RVOT); basal mid inferior wall; apex; septum; anterolateral, inferolateral, anterolateral inferolateral free wall (Figure). standard definition scar used (bipolar ≤0.5 mV), manually delineated. Percentage defined ratio area total segment area. abnormal findings, such as epsilon wave T-wave inversion precordial leads, measured before procedure. Results Twenty-nine consecutive patients included, among whose 24 had mapping addition When considering all segments, (median:70%, interquartile range [IQR] 37-97%) larger (p<0.0001) than (9% 0-32%). The higher percentage found (100% 73-100%), (94% 67-100%), RVOT (89% 48-100%) (Table). Transmural observed mostly (10 patients, 41%) (8 33%). major depolarization criteria compared those no or minor (respectively 93% 59-100% versus 62% 28-89%, p<0.0001 17% 0-42% 4% 0-23%, p=0.001). There significant difference without repolarization 90% 49-98% 84% 43-100%, p=0.91 14% 11-35% 16% 0-41%, p=0.73). Conclusion In ARVC, predominate epicardium. scar, but there an association abnormalities.

Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy

Arrythmogenic right ventricular (RV) cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is a cardiomyopathy characterized pathologically by fibrofatty replacement primarily of the RV and clinically by life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias in apparently healthy young people. The prevalence of the disease has been estimated at 1 in 5,000 individuals, although this estimate will likely increase as awareness of the conditio...

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) has evolved from postmortem pathology at to a diagnosable clinical condition, and holds promise for definitive genetic diagnosis. Its prevalence is between 1/1,000 and 1/5,000, with 10% of deaths occurring before age 19 and 50% before age 35. When analyzed against age-specific norms, the electrocardiography (ECG) and signal-averaged ECG (SA...

Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy/Dysplasia1

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy/dysplasia (ARVC/D) is characterized by the patchy replacement of myocardium by fatty or fibrofatty tissue. These changes lead to structural abnormalities including right ventricular enlargement and wall motion abnormalities that can be detected by echocardiography, angiography, and cine MRI. ARVC/D is a genetically heterogeneous disorder, since it...

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy.

The heart is a 4-chambered pump that propels blood simultaneously to the lungs and the rest of the body by means of coordinated muscular contraction. Various diseases can affect the heart muscle and cause it to become weak, thus decreasing its ability to pump blood adequately. Disease that weakens the heart muscle is called cardiomyopathy. Some causes of cardiomyopathy are viral infections of t...

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy/dysplasia

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy/dysplasia (ARVC/D) is a heart muscle disease clinically characterized by life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias. Its prevalence has been estimated to vary from 1:2,500 to 1:5,000. ARVC/D is a major cause of sudden death in the young and athletes. The pathology consists of a genetically determined dystrophy of the right ventricular myocardium wit...
